Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha, known as the Lily of the Mohawks is remembered as a Memorial on the Liturgical Calendar July 14. Great news was announced from the Vatican in February 2012 that a second miracle was attributed to the intercession of Blessed Kateri. She will be canonized the first Native American Saint October 21, 2012. Lessons of patience and charity are found in her life and examples for the work we continue to perform as Knights of Columbus.
