Since mid-January, the Florida State Council has been part of a pilot program with several other State Councils designed to give prospective members “a faster way to join,” according to the national organization’s announcement. Noting the demands upon many men due to family and work commitments, Florida State Deputy for the Knights of Columbus, Donald Kahrer said online sign-up is “targeted for young professionals, young fathers with growing families, and those who interact online,” he said “While we continue to grow, we feel this digital pathway is in keeping with the times.”

The Knights of Columbus held the Clergy Appreciation Night on Thursday 15 March 2018 in Sacred Heart Hall in conjunction with Founders Day which celebrates the founding of the Knights of Columbus in March 1882 by the Venerable Father Michael McGivney in New Haven, CT. Furthermore, in March 2008, Pope Benedict XVI, declared Father Michael McGivney as Venerable Servant of God, leading the way for him to become a Saint.

On March 23 Knights of Columbus Council 6391 hosted the Parish Lenten Soup and it was an amazing event. Knights worked together to prepare and serve and then joined the parishioners and many knights for the soup and fellowship.
