The Florida State Council of the Knights of Columbus have selected Michael and Criselda Kabiling of Jacksonville as the 2017 Family of the Year at the annual state convention held recently in Orlando. Michael Kabiling is a member of the Archbishop J.P. Hurley Council 11069 of the Knights of Columbus and the family attends Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Jacksonville. The entire Kabiling family, including son Mark and daughter Angela, were recognized for their leadership and personal involvement in many charitable activities to benefit the community, the council and the parish.

Stephen J. Zajac, a member of the Father Howard J. Lesch Council 7667 of the Knights of Columbus, was named the Knight of the Year for the state of Florida at the annual state convention held recently in Orlando. Zajac, a Niceville resident and member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, was recognized for his leadership and personal involvement in many charitable activities to benefit the community, the council and the parish.

Orlando, FL May 27, 2017 - The Florida State Council of the Knights of Columbus has elected Donald T. Kahrer, Jr. of Ocoee as State Deputy and leader of the 55,000 member Florida Jurisdiction of the Knights of Columbus. Kahrer, will assume the duties of State Deputy on July 1, 2017 at an installation Mass and ceremony to be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 5125 S. Apopka Vineland Road, Orlando, FL 32819, at 10:00 am. A luncheon will follow the ceremony.
