The unveiling of the Statue of Saint John Vianney The first hurdle in fulfilling a dream was to find a good image of the statue of Saint John Vianney that is in Ars, France. Once a good image was found it was time to find an artist who could create the statue. Finances kept the project on hold. After many roadblocks, then came a break thru, artists at Disney were able to take the picture of St John Vianney and create a 3-D image, it was only a 6 inch tall statue. An artist was found in Wisconsin , but it was a major milestone. The order was placed in February 2015. You could feel the growing anticipation as we waited the expected 12 weeks till delivery. The council reached out to the Boy Scouts to build a pedestal as an Eagle Project. Finally we had a delivery. So the day finally arrived, Bishop Noonan, Father Paul and Father Miguel were all in attendance, the Fourth Degree Honor Guard was in standing tall, and the statue was ready to be unveiled and blessed. A dream of over a decade was finally a reality.
